I am honored to land number two on this list. I never thought that this article would’ve gained the attention it has globally, but I am thankful for it, and I realize how important having a voice can be.

With that said, action over time will produce a real impact that will transform the employee experiences within organizations and the industry as a whole and the products that they build; for the better.

Despite a landmark year of protests and marketing campaigns, underrepresented and marginalized groups are still being silenced. Over the last several weeks, we’ve seen the fall out of Coinbase’s zero-policy stance on workplace activism and censorship and the subsequent firing of prominent AI researcher Timnit Gebru; there is still a lot of work left to do.
